Strategic Plan for Our Campus - Thursday, August 27, 2009

Did you know that Naples Christian Academy has a Building Improvement Committee that meets regularly to collaborate on improvements to the Academy's campus? The Building Improvement Committee seeks to carry out Naples Christian Academy's short-, mid-, and long-term strategic goals for its facilities. The Building Improvement Committee facilitated the completion of several projects this summer, including:
  • the installation of new flooring throughout the building in classrooms, hallways, and the chapel
  • air conditioning upgrades to the gym
  • new doors in the gym

Other building improvements are in progress, and you will see additional improvements in our gym and our main building in the weeks and months to come. I'll post more pictures soon!

We're Back! - Wednesday, August 26, 2009

I am so excited that school is back in session! I love fall, and even though the leaves aren't changing and the air isn't crisp in the same way as the northern part of our country, I still love the way that our town changes every late August with the start of school. This is what I love about the start of a new school year:
  • A return to a routine, even though it means earlier to bed, earlier to rise
  • A new beginning and a new chance to see the grace and love of God in fresh ways
  • Listening once again to the sound of children singing praises to the Lord; there is no better sound!
  • Working with my dear friends every day
  • Hugs and greetings from the children; they are so wonderful!

I would like to extend a warm welcome back to school to all families. We have so much to be thankful for. God has sustained our school community over the summer through many activities, summer camp, travels, activities, and major life changes, and He has brought us back together again. We are blessed with 19 wonderful new families this school year, and we are so pleased that they have made the decision to join our school family!

Though the excitement of a new school year and the contagious energy flowing through the building may threaten to wear off, I am certain that our God will sustain us and bless us throughout another school year and give us the lasting joy that comes from whole-heartedly trusting in Him.

We are also so glad to be back! Our school is truly an extended family --now we get to see each all the time again. Although it may be too much of a good thing ;-)
Anna your comments are so sweet and uplifting. We should all look at what where God has us with such gratitude.
