The Garden - Wednesday, September 30, 2009

I am so excited about the garden that Matt Megrath is helping to start here at Naples Christian Academy. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will begin work on planting the garden next week. The garden will be used school-wide for the purpose of instruction (when applicable), and Mr. Megrath will be providing a lesson on sustainable agriculture at the outset of the project.

This is a wonderful way to integrate science, health and reaal life application to the NCA students and families. At our school, VME, we have growing connection that produces vegetables and herbs to use in our cafeteria. The students, families, and volunteers enjoy our program designed to bring awareness to health and the easiness of growing your own garden. Many blessings for a healthy happy harvest!
