8th Grade Basketball Blowout

I'm looking forward to Thursday night's event at the Academy's gymnasium! Our eighth grade students will be playing Arnie Coones of 89.5 Praise FM and a team of local youth pastors. Tickets to the game are $5, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards the eighth grade mission trip to Costa Rica.
I am praying that we are able to raise $200 per student through this event and the pancake breakfast at Beef O'Brady's on Saturday morning. Thus far, we have raised approximately $600, and we anticipate selling more tickets and concessions on Thursday night.
Although the event is designed to raise money for the trip, I pray that it will also be a time that our school community can come together and enjoy one another's company. Its a reasonably-priced evening in which families can come out and enjoy live music and great basketball! We'll have several musical guests - Evie Tournquist Karlsson, Brad Thompson and Todd Henderson of Center Point Community Church, Lionel Decius (aka "Christaholik"), and several others.
